Inkkas makes footwear from authentic Latin American textiles, designed and assembled by workers in Peru. The shoes they create include indigenous prints on otherwise western footwear.
It’s a cool product unlike pretty much anything out there and the company has grown and expanded over the years. Now they’re on their biggest stage yet: prime time on the CNBC show The Profit.
Inkkas is run by the Ben-Nun brothers, Dan and David. Dan founded the company after a 2012 trip to South America left him very impressed by the traditional methods of textile production.
The company hired staff and built their business with office space at The Yard: Williamsburg for eight months before opening their own storefront in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
Now the company is prepared for their TV debut. The trailer for the show looks a bit… rough, but we have confidence in Dan and the rest of the Inkkas team.
Check out the show Tuesday Jan. 19 at 10pm. Inkkas is also running a promotion, offering $10 off orders of $75 or more. Check that out at Inkkas.com
