You've always wanted to go to an art opening in Williamsburg. Here's your chance! You're invited to The Yard: Williamsburg on Thursday night for the opening of the summer show, SURFACE TENSION.

Organized by curator Erin Przekop of Fiercely Curious, the show features the work of three Brooklyn photographers, Dan WonderlyDael Oates, and Sara Lynn Sterling.

"SURFACE TENSION embraces the strain between the natural and manmade," explains Przekop. "Each piece is manipulated to engage the viewer and trap them within the artist's own perspective. Whether capturing the harsh cracks in glass and concrete, the beautiful decay of manmade landscapes, or hyper-real skylines, each image captures at once the visible surface and the hidden depths of the ever changing environment around us."

The Yard Williamsburg's own Athena Bochanis, a Hungarian wine retailer, will provide the wine for us, and we'll have an assortment of cheese to accompany.

All artists will be in attendance and happy to talk about their work.

The event is free and open to the public, so bring your friends. Make a night of it!
